I have a lot of clients that end up traveling for work, or their schedule gets hectic and they just want to do some Pilates exercises at home after a day of sitting behind a desk. This leg drop exercise is one of the best basic abdominal exercises to work the core muscles while learning to stabilize the pelvis. Make sure to inhale as you lower the toe down toward the floor and exhale and contract the low abdominals before you bring the leg back up. This exercise should feel relaxed in the hip flexor area. Try with a foam roller or pillow under the pelvis if the low back is tight.
